    Default Ostrich - Female

This is a female Ostrich, as the male's plumage is pitch black. I captured this image whilst driving through the Nature reserve close to my house in the early morning - not quite qualifying for the month's theme, as 7.00am was a tad late for sweet light. This was a typical feeding pose bending down looking for food in the grasses.

    Dear Stu,

Very cool pose from this female ostrich and I like the framing, very much.

Well exposed and processed, lovely detail and colours are spot-on. Nice one Stu

    Warmest regards,

Exposure is spot on. Love the neck and head which really pop against the beautiful BG. Fantastic feather detail. Great HA. Very nice Stu, well done.

Hi Stu, lovely capture, nicely framed, the head is away from any distracting grasses and I love the 'U' shape of the neck, a creative portrait, nice one. I might be tempted to come in a fraction on the LHS to loose the hint of leg.

Nice light and POV. Good IQ.Nice HA.
I would take a bit off LHS to eliminate the little bit of leg that is visible.
The neck creates an interesting line within the frame.

I like this Stu, only suggestion is to clone out and blend the darker grass that is above the curve of the neck. Off with the leg is my vote as well. Enjoyed this one!

This is a fun and well-executed image Stu. Curved, dipped neck and droopy-eyed stoned appearance are perfect. I agree losing the bit of leg.
