This is an image of the Alpha female WD at Selous. They returned after a hunt and then she came closer to check us out before feeding the puppies. Shooting down isn't ideal but sometimes you get this opportunity when the animal gets very close and you are tempted to shoot a frame filling shot. About 20% crop of full frame for comp.
She had an injury to her chin with a small laceration & hematoma.

Hi Sanjeev - It's a nice close-up portrait of the adult with the open mouth and cut adding a bit of interest. The lighter colors and midtones of the dog look a little thin to me. I would give them a bit more punch if it were mine.
Hi Sanjeev, personally I find it too big in frame and the DoF lacking. If you get this close you need IMHO everything in sharp focus, especially the eyes. I get the impression that the FP was passed the eyes and more on the ear, however if the FP was on the eye then you need to MA the AF to pull it forward.
A really nice portrait, I agree shooting down isn't best, but I don't think its too bad here. A bit more DoF would have been nice to get the nose sharper
