This image was made at Montezuma national wildlife refuge in Tyre, New York on 4/12/18 at 9:24AM. This was the first time i have been close enough to make some frames of these guys. I have only ever seen them from a distance. Image adjustments in Lightroom and Photoshop.
Nice one John. I love the image design, the matching walking poses, the reflections, and especially the way the orangey feathers match the tones in the grasses.
with love, artie

Hi John, well timed to capture both with similar walking poses. Good DOF on both, and another vote for having these two against a similar coloured BG. I feel the image needs a bit of CCW rotation.
John - I like the composition (I love all those horizontal lines) and the colors. Pretty nice that you caught both cranes with similar leg positions (although it looks like each one has the opposite leg forward); similar head angles; and almost in single file.
