    Default Willet portrait

    Portrait of a willet not sure about the composition and it's little noisy but looking for some suggestions. I added some contrast in Lightroom. 500mm f 6.3 iso 1000 it was a pretty cloudy day as well.

    I'm not sure about the composition maybe a little off the top? The detail looks good on the bird. Nice background.

    I'd be inclined to take a bit off the top of this Nickolas. Agree with your critique that a bit more NR could help this but otherwise, it looks pretty good to me. Head angle works and good that you have nice feather detail on the breast of the bird too. The tip of the bill is dropping out of focus and a little more DOF would have been good here (f8 would probably have nailed it and more ISO). What was the camera and shutter speed?

    sorry for got to include shutter speed, it was 1/320 on a 7d mark II
