Sweet shot, Sasan. The calling pose is excellent and nice to see that little tongue. Lovely perch and perfect background. Beautiful detail and processing work which has brought out the plumage details really well. I notice the tail is dropping out of focus so a touch more DOF would have raised this a level or two for me. But this shot is almost off the scale already!

This is really beautiful. The colors, perch, calling pose and details are great. Other than a touch more depth of field I can not think of anything that would make this better. You were at such a low ISO so you could have easily bumped it up to shoot this at say f9 or 11. It is the only way to go about things unless you are lucky enough to have the bird and perch perfectly parallel to the back of the camera. Unless of course you were really close and then bumping the Fstop may not have made that much difference.

Magnificent on every level, Sasan. Love the vocalizing with that little tongue protruding. Beautiful BG and perch.

Everything is working beautifully here, very nice calling pose and a perfectly balanced composition. Was it windy out causing the upturned leaves?
