    It is that time of year when we have American Avocets visiting us in Breeding Plumage and also nesting etc. This image was take Last Year at Decker Lake, UT.

    I hope to photograph them again this year.

    Nikon D500, 500 f/4 +1.7x TCII
    ISO 400, 1/2000 sec, f/6.7
    Manual Mode, + 1/3 EV
    Matrix Metering

    Like the low angle and the reflection. Neat how the bird's head is facing us.

    I like this a lot, great pose here. Excellent colours and sharpeness, I especially like the water movement around the bill. Perhaps touch of CCW rotation needed, at least to my eyes.

    Hi Krishna, good low angle, and well timed to get the feeding behaviour, bubbles included. I also like the head facing us, and the colours look good. I agree on a slight CCW, as you may have based your orientation on the thinner ripples in the FG, but I feel the ripples at his feet need some CCW.
