A unique look at this Goldeneye; don't think I've ever seen one from this angle. I won't ask who won the staredown. In addition to the bird, I love the look of the water with your low POV.

I like the perfectly symmetrical look at both eyes and love the chipmunk cheeks.
Your comments imply a small crop so I might be tempted to crop tighter all around.
