Needless to say these are very interesting looking Hornbills. Captured this image recently in Botswana. The males can reach 90 to 129 centimeters (35.4 to 50.8 in) in length, and can weigh from 3.5 to 6.2 kilograms (7.7 to 13.7 lb). A lifer for me. C&C welcome.

Wonderful detail and the Hornbill is so full of character, my only suggestion would be to selectively lighten the eye and the area around it just a tad.

Nice capture of a great looking bird. Good detail in the blacks. Looks like that bill has been well used.

Looking good Geoffrey. Love the colours and that red gives it a boost. Nice detail, HA and BG. Good detail on the bird.

Thanks everyone. Don I did look at the eye and debated whether or not to lighten a bit, and decided it fit the overcast lighting. Having said that I'll go back to the original and have another look. Thanks for the suggestion.
