    Great theme choice. Soft light, well exposed, painterly water.

    DOF on the head/breast not quite enough. Not easy with the focal length, and this close. If I have time, I will take several shots, focusing half way back on the bill, base of bill, eye, to see which gives me the best distribution of DOF for the overall image

    In addition to Randy's suggestion, I would also hope/wait for it to slightly turn its head towards your left so you get the bill into the range of DOF if it can be achieved.
