    This image was taken yesterday on the Detroit River. The ice finally broke up on the river and Mergansers were everywhere. The water color is due to a building across the river on the American side. The water color and texture changes just behind the bird which is why the crop is tight there. Removed lower catch light. Hope you enjoy the image.

    Very nice Jim. I like the detail you captured on the bird. Nice colours and pose. The shades in the BG look good and show the bird well.

    Nice when one of them comes close. The pattern in the water is pretty neat.

    I love the patterns on the water, the higher vantage point permitted you to take advantage of that. The crop looks fine to me, even if "tight". Good details.
