Really nice low POV in some beautiful warm light John. Detail is good from head to tail, and I love the creamy smooth water in the BG. Well done.
I would be tempted to clone/smooth the large FG clump of sand right below the Plover's feet... and it also appears to my eye that it needs just a bit of CW rotation. :-)
Looking good John. Love the POV, but, I would be tempted to take a little off the bottom. Nice detail on the bird with the lovely light. Nice looking natural BG. Well done
Sweet light, lovely juvie, and sharp. I'd would not mind a crop from all four sides to tighten it up a bit. The only thing that bugs me is the o-o-f mud that merges with the bird's belly, especially at the rear.
with love, artie

Great POV and lovely pose of the bird. Light looks nice but having it directly behind you removes a lot of the feather detail especially on the highlights. I'd be tempted to tighten the crop too especially as this is full frame.
