Hi folks after viewing my recent Marmot frames ..... this guy reminded me about a grass stem chewing cowboy ......the " Marlboro Man " from the television ads .
I do not know if you can see the smoking cowboy as well in this guy ...

Thanks for watching and commenting to my previous posting
Yes, it does look just as you've described, Andreas. I like the pose a lot and your framing of the animal in this composition. Overall, the tones look a little thin to me in this one. Maybe it's the background partly to blame which is quite light? I'd be inclined to try this a little darker overall as a start. As usual, excellent fur detail. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Andreas - The comp works really well here and with nice detail too. I agree with Glenn that the greys look a little lighter and thinner here than in your other marmot images. The grass definitely adds to the image.
Thanks Glenn , Rachel and John ...much appreciate your constructive feedback
Glenn & Rachel - i know that i went a bit thinner in the tones , specially in 1/2 to 3/4 tone range . I might keep them slightly thinner for now ....but we will see , i might change my mind depending on the shooting conditions. I might post later a version with more tonal depth if my time allow it.
I like it but now the tonal depth has been mentioned a little more pop wouldn't hurt. For me, this is more in line with your pretty much noiseless images once again.
Thanks John ........ very minor NR in C1 . No more NR added in PS . Previous posting was the same ....10k Iso almost no NR .
Agree that a tiny bit more pop would not hurt the image , i just wanted it a bit thinner as stated above
Andreas I thought I wouldn't like this crop....but I do Love the grass makes the frame beyond your fabulous detail and processing. Debate about tonality noted...interesting !1
