    Default Juvenile Cooper's Hawk

    Captured last November in morning light and strong breeze at Chincoteague NWR. He posed nicely for just a minute or so right next to the parking lot near the beach.

    D500, 500f4 + 1.4 TC, ISO 640, 1/3200s @ f/7.1 manual.

    Nice light, details, and a pretty cool perch as well. Cool to see the talons split between two branches on his right claw. If mine, I think I would try to clone out or slightly reduce the OOF branch running through / near the head, but very nice capture. TFS

    Hi Bill,
    Always a real treat to see these guys.
    Perch is a bit messy but I am OK with it. I just wish for a better HA.The image IQ is excellent with wonderful light.
    I also like the toe curled around the little branch.
