    Hi all,

A sanderling from Sandy Hook this am. BG is water breaking behind the bird. In post, cloned out some specular highlights from the BG and beak, lifted the eye slightly, standard LR sliders, cropped by about 25/30%.

    Camera: Nikon D500
    Lens: 200-500mm f/5.6 at 500mm
    Specs: 1/2500 ISO 800 f/6.3

Thanks for looking and commenting on prior posts!

Excellent capture, Alex. Like that you got this shot with his raised foot in the middle of the sprint. Nice eye contact, BG and I like the sand on the beak.

Nicely composed and timed, lovely exposure, the darkest elements just about show some detail, the whites very nicely controlled.
I must get down to the beach next week to see what I can do!

Nice and clean with a good EXP and sharp. Still lower would have made it even better. The bird is a fading, molting adult. Where and when? How big a crop?
