puffins are a challenge to me, a big challenge that whizzes by in a flash. So i sat myself down in the same spot for hours and tried all my tricks, new tricks, old tricks, and came away with a gnawing desire to do it again and again and again; but Iceland is too far for practice. Due to such flat light I increased the contrast, lifted shadows, and added more blue to the sky.
Really nice one -- these guys really are so speedy. I like the HA and general pose. Nice view of the eye too. I like the very subtle multi tone blue BG. Sharpness looks good to me as well. TFS
You sit on a cliff for 4 hours and hammer away trying to get one of these speed demons in focus and then you walk away with this. I'd be thrilled Anne. Congrats. Your persistence paid off for sure. Iceland sure was good to you two and it has been a pleasure viewing yours and Gails images from there. Looking forward to more.
