    Joe:

I like the lines, the backward gaze, the soft background.

Excellent display of the the subtle colors in the plumage.

The eye looks a bit too bright compared to the grackles I have seen , but perhaps a trick of the light. Did you need to do any post processing on it?

    Cheers

Hi Randy, thank you for viewing and commenting. Regarding the eye, nothing done to the eye in post processing. Post processing was, raised the exposure 0.20, adjusted contrast, white and black points, and sharpened for the web. I burned a couple spots on the feathers to even exposure. The image is pretty much as it came from the camera.

The Boat-tailed Grackles in Florida have brown eyes, the rest of the Atlantic Coast have yellow eyes.

Thanks for the info Joe. Perhaps I just didn't see that many grackles in good sunlight!

    Cheers

You got a very good HA, iridescent colors and a nice BG. I wish the perch was not broken and overall it looks a tad soft/hazy/lacking in contrast on my screen. TFS
