Well. I'm taking a bit of a chance here. The feeders would, of course, drop seeds onto the ground at the Palo Duro State Park, 30 miles south of Amarillo, Texas. Those seeds and the nearby fountain attracted turkeys each morning at about eleven. On one morning, I concentrated on the details of the birds, finding them more attractive than the whole.
Canon 5D IV, 600mm f/4 II, 1.4X TC III for 840mm.
1/1250, f/5.6, ISO 400
Tripod mounted behind a blind.
Tonal adjustments in LR. More tonal adjustments and sharpening in LR.
I don't know if this is too radical. So I'm eager for your comments and criticism. Thanks.

Reason: Changed ISO from 840 to 400.
Hi Jim I see what you are going for here, my only suggestions would be are to do more of a pano crop to get rid of the black BG on the right side
and a little color adjustment. Attached is a sample, have a good holiday.
Not too radical Jim, in fact I love plumage detail images like these. I like what Tim has done as I was going to suggest going in closer to hide the black areas at right. Amazing colours on what most think of as a blackish bird.
Daniel, thanks for the response. It's amazing to me that two of the top avian photographers take the time to help others learn to improve. I'm very grateful.
I'm going to make changes incorporating both your ideas.
