    Default Little Blue Heron on the hunt

    Is been over a year since I last got a chance to go out and shoot birds (photographic way), but getting back at it.

    So colorful shot, do you have a perticular telephoto lens that is your ‘go-to’ for birds?

    Hi Amanda,

    My lens for bird is the one I used to capture this image, the Nikon 300mm f2.8 with a 2x teleconverter, this combo works like a charm.

    Hey Raybel, Glad to see you out shooting again.

    This one looks great and I really like the pose with the foot up and the nice eye contact. Great looking details and a nice low angle with a colorful BG.

    My first thought when I opened up the image is that it was a bit bright and thought it could use a boost in the darks.

    I bumped up the darks in levels and added a little more contrast. I think it added some more detail and color. What do you think?

    Super stuff! I was back and forth with it on my head if it was just a bit too bright but I wasn't sure, I'm glad you point it out. Thank you!
