Very striking image. Ideally I would have liked to see the tree in the ROT............but givien the shape of the cloud.........your choice of placement is very well done. Cutting the cloud wasn't an option IMO and adding canvas to the right.......would lessen the trees impact even further. Wish the cloud was a bit smaller to achieve it.........but with what you were dealing with and how you composed it........everything is right on! I was originally going to say remove 1/2 of the sky above the cloud and a bit off the left..........but that space does balance nicely Overall...........very nicely composed!
The composition is just right to frame the two central elements of interest in the image. I like how you have only very small versions of this tree in the BG and leave the large one in the FG as the only center of interest for the trees.
