Image degradation after conversion/resize.
Hi everyone. I haven't posted for a long time. I treated myself to a new MacBook pro a while ago and thought I'd post an image here on BPN. I went through my usual PP in DPP 4 and then converted and saved the image to a Jpeg, IQ 10, 900x600 pixels. The file size was 394.1KB so just within the limit of 400KB. The image quality after uploading here was terrible and I haven't a clue as to why. I'm hoping maybe one of you kind folks can help me out.
Here is the image I wanted to upload:
Something is amiss somewhere as the RAW file is razor sharp with just the default +1 sharpness setting. As you can see, it's unpresentable after converting/resizing.
I appreciate any suggestions you may have to get me posting again,
Regards D J.

you need to sharpen your photos after resizing them

Arash, I added 2.2 sharpness to the Jpg before posting which is way more than I used to add and it still looks bad.

I am not sure what you mean. you need to resize and sharpen your photo with Photoshop not DPP. DPP is converting a RAW file into a TIFF file. In photoshop use smart sharpen with radius 0.5-1 amount 100. only sharpen the bird and not the BG
