    Default Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher

    This image was taken at my local lake in Miami Florida with the Nikon D750 Handheld and AF-S Nikkor 200-500mm 1-5.6E ED VR.

    I know is neither the prettiest background nor lighting, but I like the bird pose. Please let me know what you think and what should I do to improve this image.

    Manual Mode
    LR for white balance and usual. PS for sharpening. Neat Image noise reduction.
    Crop Approx. 50%

    love the bird but the BG really spoils this one for me, it's way too bright and distracting for this to be a keeper. One way to overcome an ugly BG is to use a back drop with a setup. the perch angle isn't ideal either with the OOF part distracting.

    Hi Juan.Agree that bg really does let this image down a bit,maybe taking the yellows down in just the bg would help a bit.I do like the bird and wonder if it is possible to make set up with the flycatcher family.Well done for getting this.
