Default Great Blue Heron Swallowing Catfish

Last one of the series..I never thought he was going to be able to swallow this enormous fish!!

I don't like the line going thru the head, but that was the best angle I was able to get...I also wish I had a faster SS.

This image was taken at Fort DeSoto park in Florida with the Nikon D750 Handheld and
AF-S Nikkor 200-500mm 1-5.6E ED VR with TC 14E III
    ISO 800
    f8
    1/250s
    700mm
    Manual Mode
LR for white balance, PS for a little background cleanup and sharpening.
    Crop approx. 25%

All C & C's will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for looking

What a great series! I'm almost choking just looking at this. I don't mind the layered background as it is well oof and the subject clearly takes over.

like the action, these guys are like vacuum cleaners! the fish and the heron's head are both blurry as a result of slow SS. wish the head was parallel to the back of the camera and I find the BG a bit distracting
