    One I just worked up from a late summer trip to Ft. Desoto, Pinellas County, Florida. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D7000
    Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED shot at 400mm (600mm FFE)
    1/1250 F/5.6 Matrix Metering -1/3 EV ISO 250 AWB, camera supported by a monopod
    Post processed in Lightroom CC and Photoshop CC
    Cropped, rotated, and canvas added for composition and presentation

    I like the sharpness, details, feeding pose and composition. I would touch up the water at eye level on the right side of the frame near the edge. There is some spots in focus and others out of focus. Nice image Joe. How is Fort Desoto these days? Will be down there in a couple of weeks.

    Excellent image in habitat. I like the blue water, colors and composition.

    Hi Jim, thank you for viewing and commenting. Nice to have another set of eyes to see what I missed. Easy fix.

    Ft. Desoto is always good, I have never been there without finding birds to photograph and the early morning light is fantastic. Reports from bird watchers indicate a lot of birds of all types. Have a safe trip to Florida. If when there, you see an old guy with a beard and faded Red Sox baseball cap, camera resting on a shoulder wandering the beach... say hello. Anyways, thanks again.
