Dottie and I went to Circle B Bar Reserve this morning. A lot of birds but few in the right locations for good photography. So went to my fall back, always Cormorants on the posts for portraits at the pond area. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Joe, classic pose of this gluttonous bird, here in So. CA, they're somewhat of a nuisance.
Great exposure and details, HA and catchlight.

Perfect all around for me. Great details, exposure and I like the crop very much. Well done.

If you have a bit more room top and right - not much more needed - that would be excellent. I love the portrait. Exposure and details are top-notch, and the great view of the eye is super.

Hi Joe, I like the softer light in this, which in turn has nailed the exposure on the blacks. Great HA, and the head and bill are really sharp.
