Another oldie but goodie, (I think). Been going through a bunch of older files of late. This my attempt at an environmental image with a strong graphic component.

Lovely sighting and well executed Dale. Having the eye visible just makes it, but agree with you that the habitat makes for a strong 'graphic' component. I also feel the the overall hues & tones of the composition also play a large part. Great to see something different, nice work.

Hi Dale - I think I've seen this one before. Very nicely done. I like the placement in the frame as well as the graphic quality of the image. Nice camouflage for the deer. I do keep looking and wondering if it needs the slightest bit of ccw rotation though.

Very eye catching and for me unusual, I have never seen such a thicket of teasel let alone with with a mule deer in it!
My only critique would be to consider lowering the contrast or bring down the highlights to see the effect.

HI Dale -- I totally loved this one . well scene and executed. I too feel that slightest bit of cw rotation is needed but apart from that the patterns and the visible eye makes this image for me .

Dale, very unusual ,as with John I've never seen teasals this dense let alone your native deer.. Very well executed Dale I'm a bit unsure on this one it's intreaguing, for sure though!! I guess because it is so different, is why i am unsure but for that alone I give thanks that you posted.

Dale this is right up my street, love it!think the fact that you can see the eye is just enough, fine piece of natural history photography.
