Hen Gadwall

Went over the weekend to my local botanical garden. They have a nice little pond that looks just great now as the fall colors are at their peak in New York City. Was hoping for some land birds but only had luck with Gadwall.

Canon 7dii and Canon 500 f4 ii. Tripod mounted while lying on ground. ISO 640, f5, SS 1/1600

Converted in DPP 4. Auto White Balance. In PS I cropped, brought down highlights of background a bit, sharpened and applied NR to background.

Hi Isaac, lovely low perspective, and what a stately pose you managed from the Gadwell. Good feather detail showing up, sharp, and yes, gotta love the overall colour to the image. I like these type of images where the water blends seamlessly into the BG.
