    D7200, 500f4 + 1.4 TC, ISO 1250, 1/2500 sec @ f/6.3. I was set for a display, but he didn't cooperate.

    Great capture in a typical shore brush, Bill. It's as if their feathers were made of a fine black velvet soaking up any visible light reflection. You've managed to nicely pull out a great deal of shadow detail. Love the soft light tones in the BG.

    Hi Bill, you are certainly getting your monies worth with this month's theme - dont stop. Lovely angled pose, and overall, well exposed. Im fine with the busy BG, as the bird is more prominent. I do like the colours of the BG.

    I like this one Bill. Looks like a good exposure on the always challenging black feathers. I have found it is difficult to get such a clear shot of the red and yellow shoulder patch when they are still.
