I'm hoping I've done a better job with the post-processing this time, and that it's not over cropped or over-sharpened. Taken hand-held with Nikon D7100, 300 F4-PF-VR and 1.4x TC. 1/8000, f5.6, ISO auto at 800. Processed in LR 5.7 and then 1 pass of light NR in Noiseless Pro. Comments appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi Richard,

Very nice pose. I think the pose is really nice here and the image looks sharp to my eyes. There might be a slight magenta cast to the image? I am not sure, but I don't mind it. Have you thought about a vertical composition?

Hi Richard, super wing position, I might ad a hair more contrast and knock back the shadows a bit.
The hue is a little off as mentioned, but a nice shot of this shorebird.

Well done Richard, you got one with great wing position and sharp with good details. I only wish the light was softer the shadow on the eye socket is a bit distracting. an hour after this would have been ideal. did you have to go home early :D ?

    keep up the good work

Great catch Richard! I agree with Adhika about the Magenta cast but I see most of it in the BG, great wing position and the DOF is great!

Hi Rich...I like this image! You have a lot of detail in those feathers and the wing position is super! It does not look over cropped or over sharpened! Nice capture of a very fast smaller size bird- not easy!
