Very nice symmetrical wings, good job pulling the bird out of the bright sky. I would remove the wire or branch in the upper right. Very sharp and clean looking bird.
Nice that you caught this goose in a landing pose with a neat wing position and in sharp focus. The only issues are the shadows and the less than desirable BG but the overall frame is nice and it looks like your getting some good practice in. Keep clicking! Well done

Thanks David and John. I thought I'd cropped that wire out but there it is again.
I really like the "angel pose" and feet down position.
Bird is nice and sharp.
Overall image feels a bit dark for me.
I would love to see the next frame where the bird is firmly in front of the BG trees and . It would really make the bird "pop" from the BG.
I could see a version with the white lines cloned out ? fence

Bob, this is really nice. Great pose; love the flared tail and look of concentration. And I like the BG. But maybe tempted to tone it down a bit; certainly the darker pine? trees.
Thank you Gail & Glennie for your kind comments and thoughtful advice. This is 3 images along in the series Gail and I just couldn't get rid of the soft appearance of the right underwing or the over exposure of the shoulders.....although I did lighten up the BG a bit.SaveSave

the last image is better but it has lots of cloning marks all over it.
