Hey Tim,
Which wetlands? Love the image but for the shadows. You did a great job of capturing the peak of the action. For the repost I opened up the underwing a bit and toned down the sunlit whites a smidge with my NIK Color EFEX Pro 50/50 recipe; 50% Detail Extractor/50% Tonal Contrast, painted in as needed via a Hide-all or Inverse Layer Mask. Then a bit of bill clean-up, sharpened the face and bill with a Contrast Mask, and lastly added CYAN to the REDs of the bill to tone it down a bit.

Bolsa Chica, but a cautionary note if any one goes there. For the last 2 years there have been break-ins to autos almost on a weekly basis.
And sometimes several times during the week and on weekends in broad daylight. We had 2 just this past week.
Very sad and it seems nothing or very little has been done about it.

yeah should put everything in the trunk so thieves can't see what's inside. I'd also park right next to the bridge where there is more foot traffic.

Amazing shot, a pose which I have been hoping to get myself. The feathers are rendered beautifully. Did you use DPP for the processing?
I got through 50Gb on Thursday and didn't get one!
Tim, I look at this and it is pure joy! Joy to behold. We are indeed a previleged bunch of people to be able to see this. To me, it goes way further than **** good photography.
Simply amazing!
Hi Jonathan, I'm glad you like it. It takes a little time to get used to the birds behavior, even then some shake right after the dive and some wait a tad longer.
I use PS for processing, I'm use to it after being a graphic artist/advertising guy for over 25 years.
-Thanks Tim

Nicely captured Tim! It's a shame to hear about what's going on at Bolsa, and very disappointing to learn that the police aren't doing anything about it!
