Very nice Jon. You,ve got the stacking sorted. These make great subjects and plenty about at the moment.
Which programme did you use? Shutter speed ?

Shutter speed 0.4 sec = 2/5 sec, I converted the raw files to standardised TIFFS in DPP4. Then stacked the TIFFs , align, blend, flatten, sized and sharpened for web sized image in CS6 - Bob's your uncle.

Stacking a critter in natural light, no less--that's an acheivement. The composition is wonderful with the strong diagonal and gorgeous background. Did you use a printed background? Did you clamp the plant? The stacking really paid off.

The moth was on this aquatic plant. I snipped it off and took it indoors and held it in a p lamp. The background is proving a nightmare, the colour is never rendered correctly I had to create this color. I may go back to using a light tent and bounced flash to get more natural colour.
