    Default Royal Tern with Fish

I shot this frame on the beach during the Alan Murphy & Brian Small Galveston workshop in April. I like the full downstroke of the wings.

    Canon 1Dx, 600 mm + 1.4x, f/6.3, 1/2500, ISO 500, manual exposure, hand held

    Doug:

Really like the full down and forward wing position, fish, catchlight, exposure. Nicely framed.

    Cheers

A beauty of a flight shot. Well exposed with great wing position. Fish is a bonus -- in a perfect world he'd be looking our way.

Excellent Doug, love the pose killer BG, and the fish. the wing position is really dynamic and the HA is ideal in this case, the catchlight further enhances the image

    Excellent frame

Like everything about this frame, Doug. Exceptionally beautiful wing position, fish in beak, on a wonderful BG.

Hi Doug, you couldnt have captured a better wing position here, and his meal a bonus. Well exposed with the feather detail showing up nicely, and thats a killer BG.
