Always nice this time of year when the Greter Spotted bring their young to the garden.
This young bird for some reason started sun bathing- when no sun was out !

This is one heck of an image, John. I just love that sunbathing pose and your BG with added vegetation adds such a special touch!

Thanks Marina. Its always a bonus to get some natural vegetation in if possible without over doing it. More difficult than the actual bird I reckon !!

I echo Marina's comments, nice work John. If mine I might de-saturate the green a tad. Thank you for sharing.

Really like this one John, another bird in its environment and with feathers spread out showing its pied plumage.
Also nice head turn and as said, great forest looking background.
    Perch ain't bad either.

Wonderful image in the OP but something went wrong in the RP -- there are areas with well-defined edges that look almost completely desaturated. Just a slight global reduction in green or yellow should have worked.

RP looks fab. Love the craggy perch, spread feathers and BG.

Try a global adjustment just targeting partial desaturation of yellows, if your software permits, instead of brushing in full desaturation in some places. If that's not possible, the OP was much better.

    Thanks .
Diane- I did an adjustment layer and slightly reduced the greens in just the BG. Not full. I did try the same with yellows but got in a mess !- Like I always do with colour.!
    Cheers
    John
