I just got home from Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida. The Fire Flag plants have grown large and are flowering. The flowers are attracting the Purple Gallinules which love to eat them. Fun to watch them walk on one stem to get to a flower cluster on another stem. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Here is a different crop of the same image. Wondering which you prefer and why? Thank you for viewing and commenting.

Great image, the colors and simple perch really make this work. I like both comps.
The vertical shows more detail but the horizontal is kind of artsy.

Super nice presentation, I like the first, something Audubon would have painted

Very cool! One of your better frames IMO. The pose is awesome and I like the colors and details. Looks like he is walking a tight rope. I agree with Tim but if I had to pick I would go for the original landscape version as it shows more of the tight rope. Well done

Homm I lkke both very much, on balance probably I would go for the first, though I do like the yellow patch in the second.

First frame is FAR better and a very strong image, Joe. Great feather details and colors. Love seeing those tootsies and the raised tail. Well done!!! May I assume these are from CBBR?

Thanks Marina... yes, my home away from home, Circle B Bar Reserve. The Fire Flag is blossoming which the Purple Gallinules love to feed on.
