This is another from my trip to Islay. I managed to capture this Fulmar from a boat.

Nice full wing down pose. He seems to be looking right at you. I know that the image is not overexposed but on my monitor it looks a little too bright. Don't get these birds on this side of the country, so nice to see TFS.

Love the close up of this bird and the down stretched wings. To me the head of the bird is over exposed and I can not see any feather detail. Based on the shadows on the belly of the bird it looks like you had pretty harsh light. I would bring the exposure down a bit on the whole image. Seems like the leading edge of the front wing is a bit hot as well.

Lovely downstroke pose but yes, the WHITEs are too hot. As presented, the WHITEs on the head are all showing RGB values of 253-255... I tried to bring some detail back with a Linear Burn but was not too successful. My very great preference is to bring my converted TIFF file into Photoshop with the RGB values in the mid-230s...

    Thanks for the comments

Hi Artie, thanks for the comments and advice. Islay is an island on the West Coast, Scotland. Inner Hebrides, probably more famous for its single malts, but plenty of opportunities for Wildlife Photography.

I like the bird Will, Good wing position and very nice look at you. The whites look a little hot to me also.

Killer flight pose on a difficult bird to find and photograph. The whites look quite bright on my monitor. I really like being able to see all the definition in the beak.

White bit well covered, looking at the shadow on the underside of the wing looks like it was a bit on the bright side, well done getting what you got Will.
