    I always find funny how curious these birds can be. They are extremely skittish and will fly away as soon as you approach them. But the moment they see you flat on the ground they will approach you carefully like in a why wondering what you are doing?? and if you move just a tad bit they will run quickly away and fly off if you move even more.

    Shorebirds are my favorite family of birds to photograph - and your text describes one of the reasons why. Lovely portrait with good light, nice BG.
