    Jon you did well getting this bird to sit on that prickly perch which does look good, nicely posed bird on a smooth bg ,all looks very good.

    Superb but :) The bird and the perch need to be more left in the frame, and the image appears overall dark on my monitor: I'd pull up the middle tones quite a bit. Love, love, love the teasel and the head angle. a

    Thanks for the repost Jon. The lighter overall looks allows us enjoy the detail in the image. I think that it would look great with an out of the box crop: half off the open space on the left...

    pictures of birds on a wild teasel always look very pretty. good work, but maybe a little more space in viewing direction.
