    Nicely captured flight image. I like the way that the bird seems to be looking directly at you and that both eyes are visible. I don't know this bird so am not a good judge of the colours but there seems to be a light blue cast in the bird. Sorry if this is it's natural colouring.

    Hi Dan, I love wood ducks but in Montana, they are kind of rare and very skittish. I would like to see this image with the blue and purple toned down and with the shadows brought back. I realize that the ultimate images have very little shadow on ventral surfaces but to me shadows give the subject depth and dimension. The background is killer and so is the flight pose.
