This trumpeter swan was imaged this am at the local bird sanctuary. Free ranging bird, but he comes to it with his buddies to hang out during the day, leaving at night for open water.
D4 500mm AFS f/7.1 1/4000s ISO 640 manual exposure, hand held
Post: Slight rotation to level, added a bit of canvas on left, selective sharpening.
I liked the sense of action, clear view of the big feet, and shadow on the far wing.
Advice and comments always appreciated.
Cheers
Randy

Hi Randy , i really love this one .
Nice pose and good starting action of the bird . Well handled exp and overall lovely color and tone .
If you have a bit more space on LHS i would go for a more pano crop .
Thanks everyone for the comments. I did consider recropping with some more off the right, and adding more to the left, and will do a version that way.
Interesting comment Supreet about the sharpness. It appears sharp enough for my taste, but it would be easy to give it a bit more. I appreciate your thoughts.
This is one heck of an image, Randy. Love the running action. Do you have any more space behind the bird? YOu may wish to consider a crop from the left and more space behind.
