I posted another frame of this takeoff sequence some months ago, but I'm running out of winter scenes that haven't already been posted. Yes, he's a bit past me and the fish is headed the wrong way. From our local lake last March.

I agree with self critique. Exposure looks good as does detail. And the fish is a bonus. I would do something with the eye to reduce the double and close highlight as it has a subtle jarring effect (to my eyes at any rate). nice work.

Thanks Adrian. Good call on the catchlight. I hadn't noticed it, but will take a look.

Bill it is a bit frustrating I cannot see the catch light problem pointed out by Adrian so pleased you can, looks like cold dull conditions you are dealing with, exposure looks very good and that fish is a real mouth full ,like the trailing water droplets.

Hi Bill does look good to me all around , from exposure to sharpness . I do not mind the fish positioned wrong .
Only the angle is not ideal

Like everything about this image, Bill. Doesn't bother me he's a bit past you. Beautiful light, detail, fish in beak. Like the splash in patch of open water.
