Hello and a happy new year to all of you BPN ´ ers
hope you had a good swing into 2016 .
Looking forward for another great year .

I will start off this month theme for me with a " cool dude " taken in KTP during my trip with Gab and Andre , i actually forgot the exact location , but guess this was close to Polentswa where we camped .

    Canon EOS 1Dx
    EF 500 IS L
    Beanbag

    F 6,3 ; ISO 400 ; 1/1250 sec

Processed with DPP 4 and PS CC ; cropped to 80 % of FF , a tiny bit of gardening was involved .

Thanks for looking and commenting to my previous thread

    Cheers Andreas

Hi Andreas, one cool dude from another, nice one.

Simple, but effective, nicely framed and likewise the PP, although not much you could do in shielding his modesty . In this instance I might just do a bit more gardening, however this may create too much of a 'sterile' environment. Good to have you posting.

Boetie - YOU are the cool dude, LOL!

No modesty in Nature and I too love this as presented, me thinking it was taken at Mata-Mata as I have not seen those guys at Polentswa yet.

Great detail and some stunning PP work, I take it the light was harsh but oh-what-a-pose from this cutie - well seen and captured Andreas, you inspire me and I shall raise you one soon!

Love those scruffy characters, I have posted some fun images in Story Sequences Forum and hope to join you here in Wildlife.

Wonderful textures and colours Andreas, sharp and nice pose from the Squirrel. No crits, just compliments, well done my friend

    Sleep tight,

Sorry Andreas, I think the grey socks may disqualify you from being the cool dude. But your subject isn't wearing any socks so he qualifies. Interesting and unusal pose. The position in the frame works very well. Nice tones too. It all works for me.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Thank you folks for your comments , much appreciated .

Rachel i am still a very cool dude even with the grey socks , as at least i do not wear them all the time , but thank you for the pointer i might get some pink ones for the next africa trip .

Gabriela thank you for your very kind words !!!!

Steve , yes i could have done more gardening but it does look very sterile to me , i was also too lazy yesterday to do more . So here is a very quick edit done on the low res file .

Thanks again folks , cheers Andreas

Hi Andreas -- I would prefer the OP , and one real cool dude it appears to be. Lovely details and nice warmish colours in the frame . Have been seeing a variety of species on BPN lately . great going by everyone . TFS !

Andreas you have not got a lot of colours to play with but still got an excellent image, I'm just fine with the OP it's great.

    Hi Andreas,

love the little cool dude with grey socks and 'no' undies

I like the non gardening version better, looks more real to me. All sits as usual, even the eye!!

    Have a great weekend

    Ciao Anette

I prefer the OP - a few sticks and rocks provides some context and depth; I find the RP too sterile for my tastes. Lovely placement in the frame and pose by this cool little chap. Great low angle and beautifully processed. Can't wait to be back in KTP in June!

Love the centre spread pose here Andreas, with nice detail & lighting here,

however you'll never convince an Aussie that wearing any socks with sandals, jandels, flip flops or what we call thongs are cool..............not saying you personally aren't cool, it's just never a cool look.

    TFS

Nice to see some of the lesser known/photographed species. Image is fine in either rendition. Nicely composted
