A simple female mallard, but I thought she fits well with this months theme

Not too much in the way of PP but a second catchlight was cloned out

Common bird in a very nice simple presentation, great IQ, nice colors. I like the feather on the beak. TFS.

I like this Mike, looks good and the snow flakes under the bill is a bonus. Wonderful gradation of the icy FG to smooth steel BG. Well done.

Hi Mike, the fact that perhaps it's simple, doesn't take away from a pleasing image, give me a simple execution everytime and I will take it time & time again. Another vote to retain the feather, but would consider darkening the FG.

Its a pleasing image, Mike. I see them sitting on the ice most winters, but taking a low angle shot is challenging.

Lovely image Mike I like everything about it, including the little feather which IMO adds interest.

Sharpness is there and beautiful colours. Lovely framing. Sweet pose, perfect HA, very nice PP work - very well captured, a pleasure to view, TFS!

    Kind regards,
