    Default Flamingo's less elegant pose

The beautiful pre-historic birds aren't always as elegant as presented in most of the photos....like here, during bathing in a 10cm deep water, a not often seen and captured site. Some movements they do are impressive for sure. I wish for not to have the oof elements in front of the bird. I did not want to clone them out for the water drops.

The light and POV are topnotch.
Unusual pose depicted with a good HA maintained.
I don't mind the OOF sand in front of the bird but do wish the pink and whitish OOF circles were not there.
But the action trumps these issues.
I would like a bit more room at the top- gives some breathing space for the "soon to be" extended wings.

PS I think this needs a bit of CW rotation.

I like the low angle, exposure, IQ, water drops and composition works for me but I could see a version that Gail suggested as well. Excellent image Lorant!

This one is a stunner. And getting a great head angle on stuff like this deserves at tip of the hat. Love the folded legs too. Did you get some in the sequence with the wings raised and clipped? a

ps: nothing in the foreground bugs me at all.

I love this Lorant!! I agree with some CW rotation, but all else looks top notch to me. Very unusual and entertaining pose

This is one heck of an image. The behavior depicted is so unique. You had a great low angle with terrific light. I'm green with envy!!!
