This image was captured in April of 2014 at Barnegat Light as a group of Long-tails drifted by the jetty in the swift outgoing tidal current. One of these days I'll get an image of one these beauties with the full tail visible. C&C welcome.

A fine swimming pose from this Long-tail. At first glance I thought perhaps the head seemed a bit soft, but maybe that's the nature of the plumage. There seems to be plenty of good detail.
