Very nice colours and a pleasant pose - not quite the ideal pose but having said that the eye is very clearly visible and sharp. I like the perch and background, I think it might be an idea to tone down the brightest parts of the lichens becasue the more I admire the image the more my eyes are pulled away from the bird.

Lovely detail throughout in one of my favourite birds. Pity the head is not angled a bit more towards us, but we do get a nice view of the crest. A nice perch to boot.

Very nice image of this little beautiful bird, good BG, parallel perch to sensor and good colors. I'd also town down the bright tones of the perch. I wish for a better HA. TFS.

Hi Keith, always great to see a Crestie.

Agree with Lorant about a slight head turn towards camera and I might just add a little NR to the BKG to reduce a bit of blotchiness, but the lichen is a cool touch. Get this with the D4 and 'oh boy...'

Hi Keith, great detail and colours on the little guy, and love the raised crest. I do like the lichen covered perch, together with the colours of the BG. I agree, a touch of NR on the BG wont harm the image.

I like everything except the head angle and noise in the BG. One is easy to fix in post, the other a bit more difficult. Excellent perch, well done selecting it.
