    Gail:

Excellent shooting angle, vibrant orange bills, the open one is esp. cool, raised foot on female, soft background, excellent.

Because of the forms and lines, I would consider recropping it with a sliver more below and some off the top.

    Very nice.

    Cheers

Very lovely image Gail. Love the soft light, pose of both birds and colours. If mine, I would give more room on bottom.

What a great pose you captured. Love the contrasting bright colors of these OCrs and the poses are perfect on both with the male's open wings and the female's foot up.
The open beak is great but I am wondering what he's telling her, whatever it is, he looks happy. :) Great work Gail
Oh, nice example of the ID on the males and the females. Marina Scarr showed me this on my trip to Florida. The male has the nice round pupil and most of the females have the miss shaped pupils. TFS

Super Image Gail. Love the light, pose and pov. Interesting about the pupil, I have often noticed it but did not know it was a trait of females.

Great timing and the expected superb techs. I agree with the others about a bit extra below, but apart from that it's spot on

Thank you all for the helpful comments. Because I had to level the image I don't have anymore room on the bottom. I could easily add canvas though and will do so.
David- I knew that the pupil was different as well because Marina told me !! She is educating all of us!

Hi Gail, gotta love the colours of your OC'c, they are far more attractive than ours. Well timed to capture the open wings on the Male, and overall well exposed on both. I do like the smooth sand, and the hint of flying sand from the females right foot. Already mentioned, more beach below would really take this to another level.

    Gail,

All I can say is that I am green with envy right now!!! I have missed the AMOYs mating each year. That said, I am so glad that you captured such a splendid image. Looks as though she may be trying to run away from him and knock him off! No surprise there. :)
