    Not able to get out or do any traveling to where the "good" stuff is,so its a case of make do with garden jobbies through the window. Mind you I never tire of doing these little guys.
    Taken in bad light through room window
    Largeish crop from horizontal.
    D7100
    Nikor 70-300mm f4
    1000 ISO
    250th @f8
    Soften BG adjustment layer
    Paint Shop Pro
    Neatimage/Bibble Pro.

    Wonderful image, John. Excellent soft light and good detail on this cutie. Great to see most of the long tail, and like how well the rosy-pink breast feathers stand out.

    Thanks guys- IQ not up to standard but its a big crop and 1000 ISO so can't grumble.. It has been published once so it does show that IQ is,not always the end of the world.

    Great image of this lovely little bird. I like the pose, I like the perch and I like the feather details, Very appealing image. Sorry to hear you are not able to get out and about at the moment John.

    I,m quite happy doing the common stuff around the house and I,ve got a heck of a backlog to fall back on. I never get tired of birds like this anyway. I just wish I;d had the gear I have now in the old days !! Crikey ! the stuff I could have had.

    This is such a pleasing image!!! Love all of the leaves, esp the ones the bird is perched on.
