I photographed this large diving duck on a lake that feeds into the Jersey shore last March. A lifer for me. There were a few of these beauties that were fairly calm though cautious. C&C welcome.

Hi Geoff, good low perspective here, and you have captured a nice HA. Overall well exposed, and I do like the droplets on his head.

    Congrats on your lifer.

Not sure if excessive cropping or not ideal exposure are responsible for the resulting noisy appearance?

Nice look back pose and low level POV.

One of the best looking duck species. Love the looking back pose, colors and the water beads.

Hi Geoffrey, the low angle of the shot gives great perspective on the waves. I very much like every aspect of your shot, composition, and exposure. Congratulations of getting a great shot of this bird!

Good look at this Canvasback. He gave you a nice head turn. Well captured, and congrats. Could imagine a tad more room left and top.
