    Default Fledgling Peregrine Falcon

Took this a couple of years ago. I spent 12 hours at this nest which is on a ledge on a cliff. There is a boardwalk just above the nest. The chick spent most of the day in the shadow of a higher ledge but did pop out for a few shots.
Thought I would post it for the theme.

Crop about 60% and I can't remember what PP I did to it.
Comments and critiques always appreciated and learned from with thanks,

It's always fun to see those over-sized talons on raptor chicks. I'm sure he/she grew into those shoes pretty quickly :)
Nice enough pose and environment that I'll let the HA infraction slide :)
    Keep them coming Gail.

Great find and a nice image, Gail. Love the head turn, open beak and the raised foot.

The image is admittedly busier than I normally prefer (but this is where it lived and grew up!) but this is all about the whimsical pose of a rarely seen phase (at least in photography) in this species' life. You must have had a ton of fun observing and photographing this nest!

Not your usual smooth BG kind of image, but certainly a nice image of the little falcon in its home.
You would've had a great time just observing, I am sure.
From my limited experience with nesting raptors, there is a lot of time just sitting around waiting for something to happen.
This little one has huge feet.
Thanks for sharing for the theme.

Always nice to hang out at a peregrine eyrie for the day. Man, 12 hours, you're hard core, just like me ;) This little baby looks at the age when they start playing with things and learning to use those big gangly feet. Nice to get some color in there too. Well done as always. Sure is slow around the site?
