Default Juvenile mallard slow SS wing flap

Shot this a few days ago, light was low so was keeping my SS low to manage ISO levels. Shot on monopod in available light. Canon 1DX, Canon 600 f/4 IS II + 1.4TCIII, f/5.6, 1/250, ISO 1600
I liked the sense of motion that was created by the slower SS when the juvi started flapping....

    Geoff:

I like it as well. Def. sense of motion while maintaing sharp head and feet, with some torso blur. Well exposed, and the comp, although snug, works well with the pose.

    Cheers

I like it a lot, the SS worked really well with the water trail.
I might get rid of the water highlights on the right side.

Just a Mallard but with the motion and the soft light and the killer BKGR this is one very sweet image. a

Hi Geoff, I like the 'straight up' pose, and sharp where it counts. Your choice of comp works well, and I like the colour of the water.
